As we left our doomed star crossed lovers Daniel & Luce they where being separated in order to save Luce’s life as she will have no more reincarnations past the one she is in now. Daniel will do anything to prevent her death again because who knows what he would or could do if something ever happened to her. Now in a new school where Luce takes classes with the Nephilim, she learns more about her past lives, the shadows that have followed her all her life, and the fallen angel she loves. But with her life in danger, and Daniel gone off to fight it, she is left all alone at a school where she knows no one she attempts to find out the truth that Daniel refuses to tell her. Are she and Daniel really destined or was their destiny always to be apart?

Sequel’s … what can I say? Torment was a really good book 2 of the series. I loved Fallen and when I got Torment I waited until I only had two days to turn it in before I started reading it, but that’s because a lot of sequels are out now and I’ve been attempting to read those as well. I enjoyed this book and the ending was a little shocking. Now I must wait for the next one to find out what happens next, but it was defiantly worth the read. A new love triangle emerges and its really more of a square. I was left with some questions, but I hope that all will be reveled in the next book.

Luce has always seen shadows that nobody else could see. After the accident that killed her boyfriend she was sent to Sword & Cross boarding/reform school where she meets several odd individuals. On day one at the school she meets two intriguing boys. The first, Daniel, tries to make her stay away, even though she is strangely attracted to him. The second shows so much interest in her that it is scary. But the flashes of dream like happy memories are drawing her to Daniel who does and says anything to make her stay away. When a fire happens in the school library where Luce is waiting for her friend near another boy in her class she must try to save him from the fire and the shadows, but will the memories of her last fire prevent her from getting out? Or will her dreams of Daniel come true and he will grow wings in order to save her?

This is really a book you need to read if you liked Twilight! It was one of those books that I didn’t want to put down. It had a creepy feeling to it, especially towards the end and there has got to be a sequel to it! It was a great book that had me on the edge of my seat at parts and screaming “No, That Didn’t Just Happen” in the middle of my living room. It is the ultimate love story to rival that of the Princes Bride!

Nora is a girl who has never fallen for a guy at her school, but when the coach, who teaches her science class, switches the seating chart and she ends up partners with the new guy Patch she starts to feel an attraction for the broody insulting boy who keeps hitting on her and making her emotions go haywire. The biggest problem she sees with being with Patch is that she is starting to think he is out to kill her… Someone is following her. Someone ransacked her room. Someone attacked her best friend who was wearing Nora’s coat. Some one attacked her in her car. It was always a man in a ski mask, but could it be Patch or is someone else out to kill Nora?

Well now, where do I begin with this book? It very much reminded me of Twilight. The cover art is what drew me into this book. It called my name and I know you should never judge a book by its cover, but this one said that the story inside is SOMETHING, READ ME! I’m glad I did. The writing style bugged me for some unknown reason, but the story was fantastic. The sequel should be really good considering the ending of this one.
