Ok, so the wording started out kind of simple to me, but I quickly realized that it made room for all the ACTION! the plot took many turns and was regularly hijacked (in the best way) by various characters doing daring deeds.
it’s another teen book with the question of how far the definition of life can be taken, what defines whether one is alive or dead, and how society can so easily and conveniently ignore certain aspects of existence as suits it’s current purpose. like at what point is a person considered dead? If parts of one’s body are still alive (attached to or inside of someone else), does that mean the individual still lives? IS preserving a life so all-important that society can ignore the condition of that life?
