…and the people who come in and ask questions. the past few days, i’ve gotten a dozen or more requests for book recommendations by teens who are about to go on an extended trip and want to be properly prepared (warms my heart, dontcha know). I get to walk around pulling books off the shelves and handing them to people like i’m passing on a legacy of bibliophilia (love of books).
Librarians live for this sort of thing, having people ask them for books. if you ask for help at the library and the person looks irritated or bored, it could just be that they’re having a bad day. but, deep down, most of the world’s librarians want you to ask them, and want to help you, and WANT you to check out their books!
So, go ahead, use your librarian!

Here, Here. Librarians want to help, that’s why we became librarian. And if you ask me questions at Main I am always there to help. But be warned, you may need to tell me to stop suggesting titles, sometimes I get on a roll and teens leave with more than they can read in a month.
