Caleb has spent the last year in juvenile detention for running over his neighbor, Maggie, while driving drunk. Now back at school in Paradise IL he must confront Maggie, his friends, and his family while working off his community service. Maggie just wants to be away from Paradise. She has planned it so that she will be on another content by the time Caleb gets out, but when he gets out early she has to face the guy that maimed her. Then her scholarship for her trip is taken away. Now she has to find a way to get the money to go, so she can be far away from all the people who make fun of her and the guy that made her into what she is today.
I kinda figured out the surprize before it was let loose. Other than that, it was a good story. It seemed a bit choppy at times, but the switching off chapters works great for the story, and the ending threw me for a loop. It was an interesting read, and I now must discover what happend next. The sequal is out in November so that will be what I read then!
