Every summer, i try to get to at least one weekend of Downtown Alive. So far, i’ve made it to one. last year, and i can’t even remember who played what. but, what i do remember is how much fun it was to walk in the middle of the street without fear of getting run over by a car. or seeing people sitting in lawn cahirs all over the bridge. and the food! hoowee! my best friend and i went from one food stall to the next until we were stuffed! i wish more vendors would set up or merchants would keep their stores open later.
my best friend’s fave band is American English, a Beatles tribute band, who changes costume to match the time period of the songs being sung. they also stay in character after performing.
