Book – Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians by Brandon Sanderson

Alcatraz Smedry is an orphan. He’s lived in more foster homes than he cares to count. He’s also quickly learning that the world is far different from what he has been taught. For example, he didn’t know about the large continent in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, that dinosaurs are alive and well – they are very civilized and talk with a British accent, or in the Hushlands the evil librarians control information. With the destruction of his latest home, sets out with his new friends and long lost grandfather to find his inheritance and prevent (they hope) the evil librarians from taking over the world. Lots of action, humor, and bad puns, this fast read was enjoyable. On a scale of 1 – 5, it’s a 4

This book is great, but the 2nd is even better. You learn about the Evil Un-Dead Librarians in that one! Rock on Alcatraz!
